In the future, people no longer happy to interact with fellow humans. Instead, they use robots that represent them to interact with other human beings. People choose to stay at home while they are working robots replace them. Of course not everyone is happy with this new culture.
One time, there was a murder case against a student who was also the inventor of the robots that replace human functions. A cop played by Bruce Willis took the task to investigate this mysterious murder case, of course by using a robot that represents his duties as a policeman.
However, when this case began to become increasingly complex, the police began to find one theory that the only way to find the killer is to confront his own case without the help of robots. He was then asked for assistance from other police officers, played by Radha Mitchell. Now both the police should really took to the streets, something they had long left behind, to dismantle these criminal cases.
