On his return from military school, Michael Harding (Penn Badgley) did not expect to find a new occupant in the house. As long as Michael was at home, Susan (Sela Ward), Michael's mother, was having an affair with a man named David Harris (Dylan Walsh) who had just met.
It turned out that Susan and David's relationship was quite distant and David now come to live with Susan. At first Michael was not too concerned though on the other hand he also had felt suspicious. Gradually, it was Michael's suspicions grew older. Michael was sure there must be something behind all this good of David and Michael is determined to find out even though he knew that it would not make his mother happy.
With the help of Kelly (Amber Heard), her lover, Michael began to find out the background of this mysterious man named David. Michael just wanted to make sure that there is no hidden plan of David who plans to marry his mother this. Unfortunately, at the same time, David was also a plan of his own that he has begun to run. Now Michael and Kelly had to work fast or they will be too late.
